This page gives any overview of packages that are in some way
related to libcddb. Either libcddb uses that package or the
other way around. So, if you use libcddb in your software
project and you're not in this list, then provide me with a URL
and a description of the project and I'll add it to this page.

This is a library to encapsulate CD-ROM reading and control.
The libcddb example program can use this library to read disc
data from a CD in your CD-ROM drive. The package also
includes a small tool (
cd-info) that can display
a lot of information about a CD. If libcddb is installed, it
will display CD and track details for audio CDs.
Also, many thanks to Rocky for pushing me towards an improved
libcddb release. :-)

VLC is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio
and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg,
...) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming
protocols. It can also be used as a server to stream in
unicast or multicast in IPv4 or IPv6 on a high-bandwidth
network. Libcddb is used indirectly in the CDDA plugin of VLC
because it utilizes libcdio (see above).
